Gemma & Helen on reception are both warm & friendly and very knowledgeable. Gemma has been a star pricing and locating all the parts we’ve needed and really understands what we need.
Nathan the mechanic has been brilliant at giving the appropriate expertise and care to our beloved camper. He has also given us good advice and we really feel we can trust his expertise, knowledge and work.
We would highly recommend Tip Top Garage, the workmanship and their professionalism from reception through to the mechanics is next to none.

Failed MOT £236 plus needed investigation into parking break efficiency, shown my garage the list of ‘fails’ and took it to him same day, half the stuff did not need doing! My parking break is perfect.
Next day my car had work that actually needed doing & re-tested for £100. Would not recommended sadly
Ordered my tyres(18 inch for Tiguan) through Asda(on line). Far cheaper than anywhere else in the Flint/Chester area. Fitting booked on line at a time that suited me. Ladies in reception were very pleasant and as good sense of humour. Obviously a favourite with the community as some people were greeted with first names and a bit of banter. Everyone collecting or dropping off had the work clearly explained. Waiting area is pleasant, clean and tidy...and comfortable. Tyre fitting took about 30 minutes.
100%recommended.
I can't speak for the MoT or repairs side because I didn't call on those services but the impression it left with me is it should be very good (comment based on seeing a few repeat customers while I was waiting, the cleanliness of the place, politeness, efficiency)

About Us
Your friendly, local garage in Flintshire!
Paul and Pamela Worley, a husband and wife team, started trading 12 years ago. It all began when Tip Top was started as a bodyshop in Flintshire, providing exceptional quality car body repairs and paint jobs. As demand for their quality repairs and excellent customer service grew, so did the business. Their aim is to build faith, trust and confidence in the garage industry and to provide a safe and rewarding work environment for their employees.
In autumn 2017 we relocated to Flint, taking over what was once Flint Service Station, overlooking our gorgeous North Wales countryside. We expanded our business to include a mechanical repair workshop and MOT centre, and were thrilled to welcome many of the existing staff into our team, bringing their years of skill and enthusiasm.
Private and business customers are all welcome at our centre in Flint. And, some of our staff are up for a chat in Welsh if you fancy it!
The Team
Paul is a time-served panel beater and painter – a rare breed these days – with a lifelong passion for the mechanical side of vehicles. During his early career, he worked his way up from repairing cars to managing bodyshops, gaining a wealth of knowledge about vehicles and how to repair them. Paul’s expertise and problem-solving skills are at the heart of Tip Top Garage, helping the team tackle even the trickiest jobs.
LIKES: Enjoys a glass of single malt whisky (but never during work time!). SPECIALITY: Problem solving and fixing vehicles other call tricky.
Pam’s background is in customer service and the civil service, before she then retrained and launched her own holistic business. As Tip Top Garage began to grow, Pam joined Paul to help shape the business into what it is today. These days, she works mainly behind the scenes, keeping everything from administration to marketing running soothly. Her organised approach and friendly nature make her an essential part of the team.
LIKES: Sewing and mountain biking. SPECIALITY: Customer service, processes and procedures – and baking homemade cakes that keep the team fuelled!
Nick, is our Garage Manager and has been part of the Tip Top Garage Team since 2018. As well as managing the day-to-day running of the garage and supporting the team, Nick still enjoys getting hands-on with the cars. He brings a wealth of mechanical and management experience, particularly in fast-fit services, and keeps everything running smoothly both in the workshop and behind the scenes.
LIKES: A few biscuits (or more!) with his cup of tea! SPECIALITY: Replacing clutches with skill and precision.
Nathan has oil running through his veins – he can practically strip and rebuild an engine blindfolded! He first joined Tip Top Garage in 2018, took a short break, and returned in 2021. In recognition of his skill and leadership, Nathan was promoted to Workshop Supervisor in May 2023. He now oversees the day-to-day running of the workshop while still working hands-on with the team. Nathan’s passion for all things mechanical shows in the quality of his work and his dedication to getting every job just right.
LIKES: Hiking and mountain biking SPECIALITY: Everything mechanical – if it has an engine, Nathan can fix it.
Glyn joined Tip Top Garage in 2019 as a Technician, bringing with him a solid background in commercial engineering. His practical know-how, precision, and thorough approach make him a key member of the team. Glyn plays an important role in helping to keep the workshop running efficiently, ensuring MOTs and repairs meets the highest standards. Known for his methodical nature, he’s the person everyeone can rely on for quality and consistency.
LIKES:Enjoying a good beer (but never on the job!) SPECIALITY: Identifying and resolving suspension problems with precision.
Dave started his career with us as an apprentice in 2019 and became fully qualified in 2022. As one of our home-grown success stories, he’s always eager to learn new skills and take on challenging jobs. Dave’s dedication and enthusiasm make him a value member of the team.
LIKES: Expanding his knowledge and taking on tricky jobs. SPECIALITY: Head Gasket replacements and rear arm bushes on Fiestas.
Gemma became part of the Customer Service team in February 2022 and stepped up to Supervisor in 2025. Having spend many years in the insurance industry, she brings a wealth of admin and compliance know-how to the role. Gemma loves helping customers find the right solution and is always happy to go the extra mile.
LIKES: Live music and showing off her creative side with face painting. SPECIALITY: Making sure every customer receives a fair, competitive estimate.
Zoe has a strong background in customer service and is always on hand to keep customers informed and supported. Her friendly, professional manner helps make every experience at Tip Top Garage a positive one.
LIKES: owning and caring for her horse, has passion for cars like track days. SPECIALITY: Bringing a positive mental attitude to everything she does.
Ryan joined Tip Top Garage in August 2025 and is a time-served, City & Guilds-qualified apprentice. He is known for his reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality work. Ryan’s dedication and enthusiasm make him a valuable addition to the team, ensuring every job meets the highest standards.
LIKES: Fixing things. SPECIALITY: Investigating issues with cars and electrical work.
Tom joined Tip Top Garage as a third/final year apprentice in August 2025. He is an enthusiastic learner with a focus on diagnostics and fault finding. Tom combines excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional approach, and he is also a fluent Welsh speaker.

Calin joined Tip Top Garage in May 2025 after completing his Level 1 Mechanics course at college. He started his Level 2 apprentice mechanic course in September and has quickly become a valued member of the team. Calin is organised, hard-working, and has excellent communication skills, making him a reliable and enthusiastic apprentice.
LIKES: Playing games on Xbox.
SPECIALITY: Fitting new tyres on cars and making a lovely cup of tea.
